Partner search

Hello again!

Let's gather the steps followed in previous posts:

1. Make a prototype of an Open CLIL Educational Digital Project.

2. Design a visual metaphor (turning the project into a collaborative one).

3. Search a partner among all the collaborative projects.

Partner search by Paula

To begin the search of the more suitable partner for my Education Digital Project, the first thing to have in mind is the purpose of the project and the tasks that students will have to carry out. The project is about the different types of Landscapes and the several features that can be found there. This is a content of Social Science and it is developed in the first grades of primary, The tasks proposed on the project are cooperatives and with the changes made before in order to integrate the project in a collaborative movement they are collaborative too.

It's time now to look for a "good partner", this partner , that is to say, the collaborative project that will be chosen has to be associated with the subject developed in my project which is Social Science and at the same time with English itself. So according to the characteristics mention before, from my point of view the best collaborative project I could join in is "The ESL Times".

It is a blog which main goals are:

- Working with the four learning skills

- Encouraging reading in english

- Promoting group work and team work

- Using ICT while teaching/learning English

- Valuing the sociocultural side of the English language

I have almost everything because I still need to present the ideas of my educational project to the members of the collaborative project mention before. So as to create this video I have used the elevator pitch technique. The most important characteristic of this technique is that you have to express your ideas in 20 seconds. During the 20 seconds the information have to be well prepared in order to say only the most important. The aspects that should be consider to create this elevator pitch are:

Here you have my elevator pitch based on my educational project, it has been done with WeVideo since I used the aplication to make a previous challenge and it is very easy to use and I like a lot the themes, the effects and the type of letters you can use.

To conclude, I have to highlight that the elevator pitch technique is a very useful tool that can be integrated in class easily, for example to defend the ideas in a debate. It helps to summarise the important ideas too.

With the last two challenges I have learned a lot about the collaborative projects and I think that having initiatives like that make the education grow. All the teachers should participate and do their bit, with that action a big difference would be noticed and we will be in the good path for changing education into a better one.
